We set out to hike Waldo Canyon, which is normally a 6-mile hike, including a 3 mile loop. However, we were set back by a great deal of ice on the trail in the canyon. Ice is so much worse than snow! The ice made hiking unpleasant, slow and dangerous for us two-legged creatures. We cut our losses and headed back to the parking lot without attempting the loop.
