We returned to Cheyenne Mountain today to explore additional areas of the mountain. We started on the MacNiell trail, and then took Swisher trail up toward the summit. A bear has also used the Swisher trail somewhat recently, leaving tracks for us to see. I was quite happy to not see the actual bear. The Swisher trail does not go all the way to the summit. There is a meadow with aspens, and then some bushwhacking along the ridge is necessary to reach the summit.
Then, we decided to take a side-trip over to Robbers Roost. I don’t know who the robber was, but the roost gives an unobstructed view East.
This hike took the BLUE line to the RED lines:
