Mayrhofen

Date: 8/8/2013
Who: myself
Length: about 10 miles
Time: about 5 hours
Weather: warm, sunny

This Austrian vacation day started at the Berliner Hütte. From there, I hiked down to Gasthaus Breitlahner and took a Christopherus bus to Mayrhofen. I had arranged with Mark, if we were unable to talk by phone to arrange otherwise, then we would meet at 2:00 PM at the Gasthof Kramerwirt in Mayrhofen. Calling Mark’s cell phone with a calling card failed with “subscriber unavailable”, so I had a few hours to wait. I spent the time walking around the town of Mayrhofen. Here are some video and photo impressions from the day.

  1. Wonderful with waterfalls, wildflowers, and woods! Tasty treats, baked beauties, mouthwatering meats, and dandy dairy cheeses! Also, those guesthouses were amazing. Oh ya, and Cordelia was glad you had a coat when it was windy 😉 Must mention mountains were magnificent. Thanks for the glimpse into the adventure.
